Solar what?
Yeah I was none the wiser too until last week, it's kind of a cross between etching and photograms. You photocopy an image (usually a photograph or illustration) onto good old acetate. Then place the acetate against some kind of metal that i've already forgotten, then expose it to light in some big fancy slightly NASA style looking machine thing. So it's becoming apparent that I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to the beginning of my workshop.
However once you cook you plate, I do know that you can use it time and time again to print. I used on of my dragonfly photograms, I've only printed in black so far but I did start playing around with watercolouring the prints. Here's a few for your lovely hungry eyes.
