Firstly my scanner and myself are not the best of friends at the moment, so my camera is stepping in as my replacement for the moment.
This is a project where I had to chose 3 words from a list. I chose the old man, the typewriter and spying. Then we were to create a narrative, I went to for a creepy story set in the 70's (inspired by my bright orange 70's typewriter) in a set of tower blocks. The old man spies on everyone and writes about his observations to compensate for his loneliness and inability to socialise. His flat smells like cats and old philosophy books. Over the years he developed a crush that grows and develops through lust to hatred over the years with a woman who lives across from him. She has no idea he exists.
These are made with pages from an old philosophy book (see what i did there). I'm trying to use the paragraph structure to frame the images.
Frame 1/2, the old man in his window staring then making a phone call.
Frame 2/3, the woman receiving anonymous phone calls.
Frame 5/6, Old man sneaks into her flat and kills her.
These are a few experiments dealing with a fracture of the story.
The bit where he can't deal with her neglect any more and kills her.
Cheerful innit.
